Black Rock Field Camp
Every year the ESTHPO and Tribal Elders assist the U.S. Forest Service in participating in their yearly Black Rock Field Camp in Moran, WY. 4-5th grade Tribal students from Fremont County schools are invited to the event. There they learn many aspects of what the Forest Service does and also the historical history of the Ancient Shoshones that occupied the area thousands of years ago. Atlatl (ancient spear throwing) demonstrations, traditional storytelling, and craft making are also included in the event.

Dinwoody Graffiti Removal
The ESTHPO wrote a Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund Grant for the removal & camouflaging of unwanted graffiti that was scattered throughout the Dinwoody Petroglyph Site. The THPO contracted the services of Stratum Unlimited for this project. After project completion, there was a total of 44 areas that graffiti was removed and camouflaged. The surrounding fence was also reinforced and security cameras installed for long term surveillance.
